The problem

YOUR PLAYER ISN'T GETTING THE INDIVIDUAL INSTRUCTION THEY NEED!

They know the rules. They've put in a couple of years on a school team. But a regular season splits coaching time across a whole roster at every level, and there's only so much a team practice can cover.

The Minnesota Wind Chill Ultimate Academy is the week built to help your player make a huge jump: the personalized instruction, advanced concepts, reps against players at their level, and coaching from the best players and coaches across the country.

“I would recommend it, especially to players just entering high school, as I think it covers a lot of stuff high school teams don’t go over, while also doing the fundamentals.”

Lock in your entrant price with zero risk. If plans change, get 100% of your registration back any time before April 1, 2027, and 50% back from April 1 to June 1, 2027. You have months to decide, and the only way to lose is to wait and miss a spot.

Why spots are limited

We have a set dorm room block at Macalester College that limits the number of overnight campers and staff we can accommodate. We also have a set coach-to-camper ratio. When camp is full, we won't be able to add spots.

Questions

How does the giveaway entrant price work?

Everyone who entered the giveaway and didn't win gets the early bird price through Thursday, November 19 at 11:59 p.m. CT. Use code EARLY at checkout. After the timer ends, regular pricing applies.

How is the Academy different from other programs?

It's a high-performance, immersive program built to bridge the gap between youth play and competitive ultimate. It's for experienced players ages 13–18 who already have a strong grasp of the rules and fundamentals.

Does my child need prior experience?

Yes. This is not a beginner camp. Athletes are grouped to compete with players of a similar skill level, age and/or gender, so everyone gets the right level of challenge.

Is the program for all genders?

Yes. The Academy is for all genders and reflects the inclusive nature of ultimate. Both male-matching and female-matching coaches lead camp.

Overnight or day camp: which is right for my child?

Both get the same elite-level coaching. Overnight is the full, immersive experience, but it may not fit a child who needs their own bed or isn't comfortable away from family for the week. Day campers are dropped off for breakfast between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. and picked up before 9:00 p.m., and evening activities are included.

How do rooms work?

Most overnight campers share a double room with one roommate to build a team environment and meet new people. Everyone stays in an air-conditioned, suite-style dorm on campus. Prefer a room to themselves? There are 30 single rooms, and they go to the first campers who register for one. If your camper registers for a single but we can't place them in one because of the suite layout, we'll refund the difference between the single and double room rate. Roommates are assigned by gender and similar age. We'll do our best to honor requests for friends or siblings: email Christina@windchillultimate.com.

How are meals, dietary needs and medications handled?

Macalester College provides all meals, with options for dietary restrictions. List any allergies, dietary restrictions, medical conditions, injuries or accommodations on the waiver. Campers manage their own day-to-day medications; for special needs like dispensing, injections or refrigeration, contact Christina@windchillultimate.com.

Do you offer transportation to and from the airport?

Yes. For an additional fee covering transportation and extra supervision, we'll pick campers up at Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport (MSP) on Sunday, June 27 before camp and bring them back to MSP on the afternoon of Friday, July 2. Send your camper's flight details to Christina@windchillultimate.com.

What should overnight campers pack?

Practice clothes, cleats, tennis shoes, discs, sunscreen, bug spray, hats, toiletries, shower shoes, pajamas, warm layers, water bottles, rain gear, and jerseys or swag to trade. Macalester provides linens, a towel, a blanket and a pillow. Leave valuables at home.

What's the refund policy?

Cancel before April 1, 2027 for a 100% refund of registration fees. Cancel between April 1 and June 1, 2027 for a 50% refund. We can't offer refunds after June 1, 2027.

Who do I contact with questions?

Christina Burke at Christina@windchillultimate.com.
